Currently I am a 3rd year mechanical engineering student at the University of Calgary (originally from North Vancouver, B.C.), and running for Vice President, External in the general election. There are three aspects that I will do my best to advocate for: closing the tuition loophole, increasing student engagement, and building strong relationships with external stakeholders.

There is a lot of excitement in the air as Alberta is changing. Recently we saw the election of Mayor Naheed Nenshi, former Students’ Union President. There is a lot more change to come. With the province on the hunt for a new premier, now is the time for students to become leaders today and make the political agenda the student agenda.
