Book Loan Program
The cost of a course is usually only the beginning. Many programs and classes require a significant investment in academic materials including text books.
Your SU, in partnership with the University of Calgary Bookstore is proud to offer the Book Loan Program to assist in the cost of textbooks for those students who have the greatest need for financial support. Students chosen to participate in the program are given their textbooks on a loaned basis.
The Book Loan Program has been offered since 2003 and in 2010, thanks to your SU’s Quality Money initiative, program support has been expanded.
Selection Criteria for the Book Loan Program includes:
- Completed 1 full year of studies at the University of Calgary
- Registered as a full-time undergraduate student
- Enrolled for Fall and Winter Semesters
- Minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.60 over last academic year
- Financial Need - based on submission of Application form
The application deadline comes in September each year so watch for announcements.
Get the application form and submit it electronically or drop it off at the U of C Bookstore. (Note: you must save the PDF and attach it an email in order to submit the application electronically. Acrobat Reader 8.0 or higher required)
