Quality Money Allocations

2003-04

Quality Money is an initiative of the Students' Union (SU) to provide funding to projects at the University of Calgary that enhance the overall student experience. Quality Money was originally attached to the tuition consultation decisions announced at the University Board of Governors meeting in December 2003 and subsequently the Quality Money initiative was first introduced in 2004

For 2003-04 approximately $1 Million was awarded to SU and the Graduate Student Association (GSA) to spend in areas that improved the quality of education

SU received $830,000 of this award and allocated $500,000 for teaching enhancement and $330,000 for scholarships. Money was also invested in the creation of the “University Teaching Certificate Program” as part of the University’s Learning Commons.
