SUSB Fund
In 2007 your Student Legislative Council (SLC) approved the Students’ Union (SU) Sustainability Policy (revised in 2009). This comprehensive document is designed to help the Students’ Union achieve sustainable and responsible practices. To achieve these goals it was decided that a capital investment is sometimes required to start worthy projects.
Through Quality Money funding, the Sustainability Fund is designed to provide the necessary capital required to support projects that promote and support sustainability on campus. Any current University of Calgary (U of C) undergraduate student can access this fund.
Purpose
Sustainability Fund grants are intended for on-campus projects that work on inspiring, creative, and impactful environmental projects at the U of C. More specifically the fund is designed to:
- Encourage student involvement in sustainable practices and initiatives at the U of C;
- Provide financial support for dynamic, innovative student-led sustainability projects;
- To generate information and ideas to accelerate sustainable practices at the U of C.
Sustainability Fund Projects
To date SUSB has awarded over $45,675 through the Sustainability Fund. You can visit our SUSB Sustainability Fund Projects page to learn more about these current and past initiatives.
