SUMMARY:Cast Your Vote @ Hunter Student Commons
DESCRIPTION:The University of Calgary has partnered with Elections Canada to bring a special federal election poll to campus\, where all students\, faculty\, and staff can cast their vote. The special poll allows you to cast your vote in any federal electoral district in Canada in which you are a registered voter\, including any Calgary district. \nGo cast your vote there on the main floor of Hunter Student Commons at the following dates and times: \nSunday\, April 13\, 12 pm to 6 pm\nMonday\, April 14\, 9 am to 9 pm\nTuesday\, April 15\, 9 am to 9 pm\nWednesday\, April 16\, 9 am to 9 pm\n\nAll voters must show valid identification before voting \nOption 1: Show one of these pieces of ID \nyour driver’s licence\nany other card issued by a Canadian government (federal\, provincial/territorial or local) with your photo\, name and current address\n*** \nOption 2: Show two pieces of ID\nBoth must have your name and at least one must have your current address. \nvoter information card and bank statement\nutility bill and student ID card\n\nWhat if I’m from another part of Canada? \nIf you’re from another region of Canada\, living in residence\, and would prefer to vote in the University of Calgary’s federal electoral district of Calgary Confederation\, you must complete a Letter of Residence and have it signed by a Residence Services administrator at the Campus Service Centre\, located in International House. \nWhat if I don’t want to vote on campus? \nShould you choose not to vote on campus at the special poll\, advance polls in your community will run from Friday\, April 18 to Monday\, April 21. Election day is Monday\, April 28. You can also vote in person at any Elections Canada office across the country anytime before 4 pm on April 22 or you can vote by mail if you apply by April 22 at 4 pm.
