Hi there!
My name is James, I’m an award-winning educator and researcher with a strong history at the University of Calgary, where I completed my PhD in mathematics and currently hold a postdoctoral fellowship with the National Research Council, Quantum Horizons Alberta, and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
My tutoring style is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student; I explain challenging ideas clearly, build confidence through carefully chosen examples, and adapt each session to your course, learning style, and goals. Whether you’re catching up, preparing for an exam, or aiming for top marks, we’ll create a practical plan to help you succeed! I offer flexible scheduling and welcome students at all levels.
Its common to find math intimidating, especially at the university level. My goal is always to make math feel clear, manageable, and (hopefully) enjoyable!
